Homepage of Christiaan J. F. van de Ven
My scientific interests concern mathematical and theoretical physics, in particular, statistical mechanics and equilibrium thermodynamics including applications to quantum information theory. Iam furthermore interested in foundations of quantum theories, and applications of mathematics to natural sciences.
I am a postdoc at the University of Tübingen in the group of Prof. Dr. Stefan Teufel.
In December 2021 I obtained my PhD in Mathematics cum laude at the University of Trento under the supervision of Prof Dr. Valter Moretti. To this end I was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellowship part of the European project INdAM-DP-Cofund-2015 ‘INdAM Doctoral Programme in Mathematics and/or Application Cofunded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions’ .
After obtaining my PhD I have worked as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Würzburg in the Mathematical Physics group of Prof. Dr. Stefan Waldmann.
